She views each as a channel for the same core purpose: helping individuals feel seen, valued, and worthy.<\/p>\n<h2>A Unified Mission<\/h2>\n<p>Heart does not treat music as a separate pursuit. She describes it as an extension of her life\u2019s work.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>As a counsellor, I listen to people\u2019s hearts. As a make-up artist, I help people see beauty in themselves on the outside. As a musician, I do both, I speak to the heart and I make people feel beautiful and seen. All three are just different ways of saying, \u2018You matter. You\u2019re worthy.\u2019<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Roots in Rhythm and Storytelling<\/h2>\n<p>Growing up surrounded by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kalindula\">Kalindula<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Zamrock\">Zamrock<\/a>, Heart absorbed the sounds of Zambian icons such as <strong>JK<\/strong>, <strong>Alpha Romeo<\/strong>, <strong>Angela Nyirenda<\/strong>, <strong>Mampi<\/strong> and <strong>Wezi<\/strong>. She fuses those traditional foundations with contemporary Afro-fusion to create music that honours her heritage while addressing universal themes.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I always wanted to take that foundation and dress it in Afro-fusion, so the world can dance to it while still feeling Zambia.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Her breakthrough single <em>Bamukabene<\/em>, featuring <strong>Chester MorePower<\/strong>, draws on a Bemba expression often linked to rumours about relationships with married people. The track rejects gossip and public judgement, championing self-respect and personal boundaries.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Bamukabene is about the feeling when people talk about you behind your back and accuse you of dating married men. Instead of breaking, I rise and tell them I don&#8217;t do that. I know my boundaries and my self-worth. It also sends a message to married people that I cannot be involved with them.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Counselling Through Lyrics<\/h2>\n<p>Heart\u2019s background in psychosocial counselling directly informs her songwriting. She prioritises themes of healing, resilience, and emotional honesty over pure entertainment.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Music is therapy for me and for the people who listen. Some songs are about hope when you&#8217;re down. Others are about naming your pain so it doesn\u2019t own you. I don\u2019t want people to feel alone when they hear me. If one lyric makes someone feel understood, then I\u2019ve done my job as both an artist and a counsellor.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>New Music and Listener Response<\/h2>\n<p>Her latest single, <em>We Are Not The Same<\/em>, features <strong>Chewe Superstar<\/strong> and <strong>Umusepela Chile<\/strong>. The song addresses emotional recovery after heartbreak, urging listeners not to let past pain dictate future relationships.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It\u2019s a message to someone carrying hurt from the past. I&#8217;m saying that I&#8217;m a different person. What their ex did isn\u2019t what I\u2019ll do. I\u2019m asking them to see me for who I am and allow themselves to be loved again.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Heart says the reaction has surpassed her expectations.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>What surprised me most is how many listeners connected the song to their own journeys of growth and self-worth.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>International Reach and Cultural Ambition<\/h2>\n<p>Though still early in her career, Heart has already gained exposure beyond Zambia through appearances on <a href=\"https:\/\/trace.tv\">Trace FM<\/a> and collaborations with South African artists, including <strong>DJ Seneath<\/strong>. International fame, however, is not her primary goal. She wants her music to serve as a cultural ambassador for Zambia.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>My vision is to put Zambia on the world map with sound. I want people in London, Lagos and New York to hear a beat and immediately say, \u2018That\u2019s Zambia.\u2019 I don&#8217;t have to copy anyone. Our rhythms, our languages and our stories are what will travel.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Representation and Responsibility<\/h2>\n<p>As one of Zambia\u2019s youngest female artists gaining regional attention, Heart is mindful of the example she sets.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It means pride and responsibility. I want little girls in Lusaka and across Africa to see me and believe they can do it too. I want to represent Zambia with excellence, culture and heart, not just as a singer, but as a voice carrying our beauty and truth.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Discipline Over Hype<\/h2>\n<p>Navigating a competitive industry as a teenager has taught Heart that lasting success relies on discipline rather than fleeting attention.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>My journey has taught me that confidence comes through consistency, while resilience comes through persistence. I&#8217;ve learned to create my own opportunities and to uplift other women as we grow. Authenticity is what ultimately creates space for you.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Cross-border collaborations have reinforced these lessons.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I\u2019ve learned professionalism, preparation and patience. I\u2019ve also learned to protect my craft and build genuine relationships. Growth is gradual, and at a young age, discipline and vision matter more than hype.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Looking Ahead<\/h2>\n<p>Heart plans to release new visual projects, expand her collaborations across Africa, and continue telling stories rooted in authentic African experiences. Ultimately, she hopes to be remembered for more than her music.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I want to be remembered as someone who used music to make people feel seen and valued. Beyond music, through counselling and beauty, I hope my contribution reflects healing, empowerment and representation for Zambian and African women.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>For listeners, she wants each track to leave a lasting impression.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>When listeners press play, I hope they feel empowered and understood. \u2018We Are Not The Same\u2019 is about choosing yourself, healing and moving forward.
