The move follows <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/german-court-rules-against-suno-in-gema-ai-copyright-case\/\">a German court ruling that found Suno liable for copyright infringement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/suno-details-operating-principles-after-german-court-finds-ai-training-infringed-copyright\/\">blog post responding to the verdict<\/a>, Suno said it was \u201cadopting new audio watermarking and fingerprinting technology.\u201d Musixmatch designed Sentinel to comply with the European Union\u2019s AI Act and the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Digital_Millennium_Copyright_Act\">Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)<\/a>. The <strong>Sentinel<\/strong> service draws on a vast database of music, including works owned by all three major record labels, to identify protected material.<\/p>\n<h2>How Sentinel Works<\/h2>\n<p>Sentinel can detect copyrighted lyrics at any stage of the generation process.
