Ayra Starr<\/strong><\/a> will release her third studio album, ‘Starrgirl’<\/strong><\/a>, in a few days, marking a shift toward a more mature exploration of womanhood after five years of age-titled projects. The record follows her debut EP (extended play) and two previous albums and draws on a wide range of collaborators and genres.<\/p>\n

Identity and early rebellion<\/h2>\n

From the start, Ayra Starr’s artistry centered on identity, shaping both her music and her self-expression. It has been a little over two years since ‘The Year I Turned 21’<\/strong>. During the 2026 Teen Vogue Fest<\/strong> in July, Ayra Starr said the new album would reflect her versatility and the influence of different cultures from places she has lived. She said the project allowed her to exist in multitudes and would cut across a wide range of genres and influences.<\/p>\n
