{"id":18862,"date":"2026-08-13T14:05:51","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T14:05:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/colombia-earthquake-relief-fundraising-compilation-released-by-mammboh-rhythms-records\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T14:05:51","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T14:05:51","slug":"colombia-earthquake-relief-fundraising-compilation-released-by-mammboh-rhythms-records","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/colombia-earthquake-relief-fundraising-compilation-released-by-mammboh-rhythms-records\/","title":{"rendered":"Colombia earthquake relief fundraising compilation released by Mammboh Rhythms Records"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Featured artists include Obscure Shape, Red Noise, Frazi.er,\u00a0Fresko, and more<\/p>\n<p>Mammboh Rhythms Records has released a fundraising compilation for humanitarian efforts in Colombia following the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck the country earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>Label bosses Sons of Hidden and Serge Andr\u00e9 have united more than 30 artists in just 24 hours for the \u2018United For Colombia\u2019 project, including Obscure Shape, Brennen Grey, Lars Huismann, Fresko, Isaiah, Janein, Advanced Transistor, Ma\u014dh, Red Noise, Ricardo Garduno, and Frazi.er.<\/p>\n<p>The earthquake struck parts of western Colombia on Monday 10th August. <em>Reuters<\/em> reported on Thursday (13th August) that at least 281 people had been killed, with a further 379 missing, and more than 3,900 injured. The government has also estimated that more than 10,500 homes have been destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is one of those moments when, as a community, we show the values that have been built into the foundations of our movement,\u201d said Sons of Hidden. \u201cIt\u2019s time to come together for those who need it most today. Let the music never stop, because it hasn\u2019t always been about celebration, it has also been about resistance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs artists, I believe we have a social responsibility. The people around us have played an important part in shaping who we are and where we stand today. In moments like this, I feel we have a responsibility to raise our voices and use the power of our platforms and our reach to support and stand alongside our people. Art has always been a force for change, a form of resistance and a revolutionary movement. Now is the time to use that power for something greater than ourselves,\u201d added Andr\u00e9.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Weekly updates will be shared on how much money has been raised through the record and how this is being spent. Communities in Choc\u00f3, the quake&#8217;s epicentre, will be prioritised, alongside those living in Pereira and Cali, and Colombian artists and producers who have lost their homes nationwide.
