The project introduced the brothers to a wider global audience after years of building a large following in Mexico.<\/p>\n<h2>From pandemic uploads to major stages<\/h2>\n<p><strong>LATIN MAFIA<\/strong> consists of twin brothers <strong>Milton<\/strong> and <strong>Emilio de la Rosa<\/strong> on vocals and their older brother <strong>Mike de la Rosa<\/strong> on production. The brothers began sharing music online during the pandemic and uploaded songs to streaming platforms in 2021. Before releasing an album or signing with a label, they were already selling out large venues across Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>That early success led to festival appearances at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coachella.com\">Coachella<\/a><\/strong> and <strong>Lollapalooza<\/strong> in Argentina and Chile, followed by a deal with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/rimasmusic.com\">Rimas Entertainment<\/a><\/strong> in 2024. Their debut album, <em>TODOS LOS D\u00cdAS TODO EL D\u00cdA<\/em>, arrived that October and earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.<\/p>\n<h2>A fluid approach to genre<\/h2>\n<p>Their music combines several styles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>alternative pop<\/li>\n<li>R&amp;B<\/li>\n<li>reggaeton<\/li>\n<li>trap<\/li>\n<li>electronic music<\/li>\n<li>flamenco<\/li>\n<li>cumbia<\/li>\n<li>punk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The brothers have said they are not interested in genre labels and describe their process as \u201cwhatever we feel.\u201d A song can begin as an intimate ballad, develop a nervous electronic pulse, collide with an abrasive breakbeat and suddenly burst into something euphoric. The shifts mirror the emotional volatility of being young and overwhelmed.<\/p>\n<p><em>Siento que merezco m\u00e1s<\/em> begins in wounded reflection before mutating through electronic distortion, flamenco textures and punk-like release. <em>Patadas de Ahogado<\/em>, with <strong>Humbe<\/strong>, is softer and more openly romantic. <em>Sentado aqu\u00ed<\/em> sounds furious, anxious and ecstatic within the same performance.<\/p>\n<p>Even the album\u2019s track titles were designed to function together like one continuous thought. The record opens with <em>Siento que merezco m\u00e1s<\/em>, meaning \u201cI feel like I deserve more,\u201d before moving through statements about falling apart, uncertainty, dishonesty, expectation and noise. The music does not insist that one emotion must finish before another begins. It blends together organically.<\/p>\n<h2>Sibling chemistry and the Fred again.. collaboration<\/h2>\n<p>The brothers have said the songs frequently emerged from mistakes and \u201chappy accidents,\u201d a freedom they attribute to being siblings. Their shared history allows them to move quickly, contradict one another and recognize ideas that might be difficult to explain to an outsider.<\/p>\n<p>Fred again.. and LATIN MAFIA come from different cities, London and Monterrey, but their production approaches overlap. Fred again.. often begins with small human fragments, a voice note, an unfinished sentence or a vulnerable vocal, and expands them into communal electronic release. LATIN MAFIA travel in the opposite direction, beginning with personal songwriting and allowing the emotion to rupture the song\u2019s structure. Both treat electronic production as a way to bring people closer rather than create distance.<\/p>\n<p>Their collaboration began taking visible shape around Fred again..\u2019s December 2025 Mexico City appearance. A short film, <em>under the fabric<\/em>, documented the artists working through unfinished music together before that show. By July, they had transformed that relationship into the <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/fred-again-and-latin-mafia-record-entire-mixtape-in-two-day-livestream\/\">live-streamed creation<\/a> of <em>9 months &amp; 50 hours<\/em>. The project functions as two existing musical languages discovering a shared vocabulary.<\/p>\n<p>The three-day YouTube livestream, watched more than 7.5 million times, showed the brothers singing, producing and finishing music alongside Fred again.. in Mexico City. Almost immediately after completing it, they played the new music for more than 20,000 people at <strong>Palacio de los Deportes<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/fred-again-and-latin-mafia-share-full-audio-from-mexico-city-live-show\/\">The full performance has since been released<\/a> through <strong>YouTube Music<\/strong>, while the mixtape debuted at No. 1 on Billboard\u2019s Top Latin Pop Albums chart.<\/p>\n<h2>Live show and independent momentum<\/h2>\n<p>In 2024, more than 18,000 fans attended a free immersive listening event for their debut album at Palacio de los Deportes. The following year, their international tour concluded with three sold-out performances at the venue, drawing 64,500 people in total. Their live shows connect with Mexican music and culture fans through an active, engaged visual style.<\/p>\n<p>LATIN MAFIA\u2019s concerts help explain the connection. The twins race around the stage while Mike directs the sonic chaos. Body-mounted cameras capture faces and movement from unusually intimate angles. Glitchy footage follows them through venue hallways. One European performance even included a deliberately ridiculous instructional video teaching the crowd how to mosh before the music erupted again.<\/p>\n<p>The production is conceptual, but it never feels sterile. Humor, anxiety, tenderness and sensory overload are allowed to coexist.
