The figure marks the 13th consecutive year of growth for the genre.<\/p>\n<p>The increase compares with 5.9% YoY growth in H1 2025 and 4.2% for full-year 2025.<\/p>\n<h2>Streaming and physical breakdown<\/h2>\n<p>Streaming remained the largest revenue source. Subscription streaming generated <strong>$308.4 million<\/strong>, up 12.4% YoY, while ad-supported listening contributed <strong>$177.8 million<\/strong>, down 1.1% YoY.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Permanent downloads:<\/strong> $2.8 million, down 11.8% YoY<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vinyl:<\/strong> roughly 800,000 units, up 291.2% YoY, generating $13.7 million, up 245.8% YoY<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sync:<\/strong> $3.3 million, up 104.2% YoY<\/li>\n<li><strong>Other streaming:<\/strong> $36.1 million, down 1.1% YoY, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soundexchange.com\">SoundExchange<\/a> distributions and other ad-supported revenue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The February 2026 vinyl release of <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/4q3ewBCX7sLwd24euuV69X\"><strong>Bad Bunny<\/strong><\/a>&#8217;s <em>DeB\u00cd TiRAR M\u00e1S FOToS<\/em> and his Super Bowl Halftime Show performance that month contributed to the triple-digit increases, according to the RIAA.
