Beatport<\/strong>, the digital music store and electronic music conglomerate, has raised a growth investment via Los Angeles-based investment firm Square Nine Capital. According to a press release acquired by Billboard<\/em><\/a>, the purpose of the money is to \u201csupport Beatport\u2019s strategic priorities and further strengthen its position at the center of the global electronic music ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n

The amount of the investment was not disclosed.<\/p>\n

Square Nine refinanced \u201can existing credit facility\u201d to raise the cash.<\/p>\n

The company stated it will use the funds to invest \u201cacross its platform, products and broader ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beatport recently added ticket sales<\/a> to its purview, suggesting a greater push into the live event market.<\/p>\n
