He provided no updated totals as the company expands its licensing partnerships while facing further lawsuits from Universal and Sony.<\/p>\n<p>Shulman made the comments on Thursday, October 1, at Bloomberg\u2019s Screentime conference in Los Angeles, during an interview with journalist Ed Ludlow.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe last statistics we published were 2 million subscribers and 300 million dollars in revenue. At this point, we\u2019re well above that.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Revenue and funding<\/h2>\n<p>In February, Suno said it had exceeded 2 million paid subscribers and 300 million dollars in annual recurring revenue, with more than 100 million people having used the platform. That revenue figure exceeded the 200 million in annual revenue attributed to the company in November 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Suno\u2019s funding rounds have also increased its valuation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In November 2025, it closed a Series C round of 250 million at a valuation of 2,450 million.<\/li>\n<li>In June, it raised more than 400 million dollars in a Series D round led by <strong>Bond Capital<\/strong>, at a post-money valuation of 5,400 million.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Licensing partnerships and lawsuits<\/h2>\n<p>Asked what <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wmg.com\/\">Warner Music Group<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmg.com\/\">BMG<\/a><\/strong> are paying for, Shulman described a product built around fan participation: remixing, covering or combining a favorite artist\u2019s music, with the feeling of \u201cco-creating\u201d with that artist.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt\u2019s a completely new product. Digital music has become very, very passive. And getting people to participate in new ways is how we really grow the music business.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Suno settled Warner\u2019s lawsuit through an agreement in November 2025, signed with BMG on August 12 and announced a licensing agreement with <strong>Believe<\/strong> on September 8. The following day, it launched its v6 model family, developed with those three partners, and retired all previous models.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Universal Music Group<\/strong> and <strong>Sony Music Entertainment<\/strong>, which have not licensed their catalogs to Suno, sued the company again on September 18, alleging that it copied <strong>60,202 recordings<\/strong> without a license.<\/p>\n<p>During the interview, without addressing the lawsuit, Shulman said: \u201cWe build all our technology in-house.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Labeling AI-generated music<\/h2>\n<p>On labeling music generated with artificial intelligence (AI), Shulman said \u201cAI music\u201d covers a broad spectrum, from someone entering a few words into a text box to a professional using the technology for specific parts of production.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe don\u2019t want any party, whether an AI platform, a media platform or a group of rights holders, to make these decisions alone. We want to make them together.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He described the landscape as changing and added that \u201cit\u2019s actually good that we don\u2019t have firm rules yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Artist licensing and computing costs<\/h2>\n<p>Shulman also saw \u201ca great many opportunities\u201d in licensing <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/jason-isbell-david-lowery-sue-suno-over-ai-voiceprints\/\">artists\u2019 voices or likenesses<\/a> to AI platforms and said Suno had demonstrated that \u201cmusic is a great business.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On computing costs, he positioned Suno between two models: it does not have streaming\u2019s near-zero marginal cost, but it is also not competing in the race to accumulate computing capacity for general intelligence.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cMusic is art.
