A payment schedule cannot fix a registration<\/h2>\n

A collection society\u2019s payout calendar tells a writer when money moves. Registration determines whether the society has the information it needs to connect money with the work. China\u2019s combination of scheduled payments and royalties held against incomplete registrations makes those separate administrative tasks visible.<\/p>\n

A writer waiting for the next payment should therefore ask the publisher or administrator about registration completeness now. Another payment date does not itself correct a missing registration detail. The useful question is which work needs attention and who will provide the information, rather than simply when the society next sends money.<\/p>\n

Labels face a related issue. Store availability establishes whether listeners can reach a recording, while labels and songwriters also need to connect the recording to its underlying work and establish who can inspect royalty information<\/a>.
