{"id":22948,"date":"2026-10-21T16:09:59","date_gmt":"2026-10-21T16:09:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/warner-music-names-ron-broitman-global-sync-president-in-reorganization\/"},"modified":"2026-10-21T16:09:59","modified_gmt":"2026-10-21T16:09:59","slug":"warner-music-names-ron-broitman-global-sync-president-in-reorganization","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/warner-music-names-ron-broitman-global-sync-president-in-reorganization\/","title":{"rendered":"Warner Music Names Ron Broitman Global Sync President in Reorganization"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wmg.com\/\">Warner Music Group (WMG)<\/a><\/strong> has reorganized its global sync operations and promoted <strong>Ron Broitman<\/strong> to lead them, bringing its recorded music and publishing teams under a single structure.<\/p>\n<p>Broitman, who has spent nearly <strong>17 years<\/strong> at WMG, will serve as president of global sync, based in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<h2>Leadership and responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p>Broitman will report to Warner Music chief operating officer <strong>Tom Corson<\/strong>, with additional strategic oversight from Warner Chappell head <strong>Guy Moot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>His remit covers sync employees across:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Atlantic Music Group<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>ADA<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Warner Records Group<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/warnerchappell.com\/\">Warner Chappell<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The division\u2019s responsibilities include sync pitching, marketing, licensing, administration and data analytics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnifying our teams makes us a stronger partner for our clients,\u201d Broitman said.<\/p>\n<p>He said the combined operation would make licensing the company\u2019s global library easier and faster, and thanked Corson and Moot for their support.<\/p>\n<p>Moot said the structure would bring publishing and recorded music closer together, while Warner Chappell\u2019s team would remain embedded in the sync business to maintain its focus on songwriters and creative pitching.<\/p>\n<h2>Sync revenue and licensing activity<\/h2>\n<p>The change follows <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/aaron-bay-schuck-confirmed-as-warner-records-groups-sole-ceo\/\">other restructuring initiatives at WMG<\/a>. It also comes as US recorded music sync revenue reached <strong>$231.8 million<\/strong> in the first half of <strong>2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>That represents an <strong>18.2%<\/strong> increase from a year earlier, according to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.riaa.com\/\">Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The figure may not capture all licensing involving music paired with visual media, including social media agreements.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the sector, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/maia-universe-adds-bmg-kobalt-and-warner-deals-secures-investment\/\">MAIA Universe<\/a><\/strong> has secured licensing agreements and a strategic investment from <strong>Bjorn Ulvaeus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Additional copyright infringement lawsuits have also targeted brands accused of using protected music in social videos without
