Uzor Daniel, Director of A&R and Operations at Sony Music Publishing Nigeria, framed the signing as part of the company’s continued push to invest in African songwriters “whose creativity has the power to transcend borders,” adding that “the best is still ahead” for the rapper. LADIPOE’s manager, Emmanuel Egwere, said the deal gives his songwriting “greater reach and creates new opportunities,” while LADIPOE himself tied the moment to his most recent album, saying he has “always believed that African songwriting and lyricism can resonate far beyond where it was created without losing what makes it ours.”<\/p>\n
