A court-approved stipulation moved the deadline from November 4 as the parties discuss a possible resolution.<\/p>\n<p>The parties did not specify why they sought the extension. DistroKid, which is backed by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.universalmusic.com\/\">Universal Music<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Sony Music<\/strong> and <strong>Create<\/strong>, and Universal Music told the court they \u201care working on a resolution.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>What the subpoena seeks<\/h2>\n<p>The request covers the share of DistroKid recordings flagged as AI-generated, their total streams and royalties, and how many were produced through Suno. It was issued in Universal Music and Sony Music\u2019s infringement case against Suno, separate from Universal Music\u2019s more recent complaint accusing DistroKid of flooding digital service providers (DSPs) with AI-generated recordings.<\/p>\n<p>Other document and testimony requests in the Suno case involve <strong>Apple<\/strong>, multiple Suno investors, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themlc.com\/\">Mechanical Licensing Collective<\/a><\/strong> (MLC) and at least one individual. They concern whether Suno\u2019s output has displaced other music and diverted royalties on DSPs, and whether anti-fraud measures and licensing agreements have limited financial harm to the label plaintiffs. The MLC is contesting a subpoena seeking five years of streaming-volume data broken down by label and service.<\/p>\n<h2>Suno\u2019s product plans<\/h2>\n<p>Suno has revised its product and policies under licensing agreements with <strong>Warner Music<\/strong>, <strong>Believe<\/strong> and <strong>BMG<\/strong>. It is also developing artist-specific offerings.<\/p>\n<p>Current Suno job postings include a senior product marketing manager of new bets, a recommendations product manager and a senior lead of physical security. Suno owns <strong>Songkick<\/strong>, and a generated song accompanying the security posting refers to \u201c[a]rtists in the building, a stage about to rise.\u201d A listing for a director of
