Davido, Mayorkun and FOLA’s “B4 B4” climbed from No. 11 to No. 8 on Spotify Nigeria’s daily chart dated October 31, 2026, three months after its July 31 release. Apple’s Nigeria Most Played list also kept it near the top when checked on November 2. The result is a useful counterpoint to the usual release-week story: a song can keep competing for attention after the launch campaign has passed.<\/p>\n

For a Nigerian label or manager, the question is what a durable record changes. An enduring song can justify continued work on playlists, video, radio and live performances, but a chart position alone does not reveal which of those activities caused the listening. The visible evidence here supports a narrower conclusion: “B4 B4” is still drawing a large audience on two services, even as new releases take the top spots.<\/p>\n

A three-month-old song moves upward<\/h2>\n

Kworb’s display of Spotify Nigeria’s October 31 daily chart records “B4 B4” at No. 8 with 183,758 streams, up three places and 13,228 streams from the preceding day. Chartex’s separately read display of the same Spotify chart corroborates the No. 8 rank, the three-place climb and approximately 183,800 streams. Those are two presentations of one platform’s data, not two independent pools of plays. The chart gives the track 94 days on the daily ranking and a No. 1 peak.<\/p>\n

The move is modest in one day’s terms, but the surrounding chart makes it notable. On that October 31 Spotify list, the top four songs were “INFERNO,” “BACK 2 U,” “IKEBE 3000” and “miss u ii (nriri).” “B4 B4” was still eighth among them, ahead of several newer entries. Kworb’s Spotify Nigeria weekly chart dated October 29 also put it at No. 8, with 1,161,251 streams for that chart week. The daily lift therefore sits inside an already established top-ten run, rather than a return from outside the ranking.<\/p>\n

Apple offers a second platform check. Apple’s own Nigeria Most Played feed placed “B4 B4” at No. 3 when read on November 2, while Kworb’s earlier November 2 observation showed it at No. 4. The exact positions differ because these are moving lists captured at different times; both observations put the track in the top four. Apple does not publish stream counts in that feed, so neither position can be converted into a share of Nigeria’s total listening.<\/p>\n

The life after a peak<\/h2>\n

The song had already led TurnTable’s Official Nigeria Top 100 for five consecutive weeks by the chart publisher’s September 8 report. TurnTable said that week’s ranking combined 2.86 million on-demand streams and 77.6 million radio reach for “B4 B4.” Those figures describe its September chart window, not October 31 or November 2. They show that the record’s earlier peak was measured beyond one streaming app, while the newer Spotify and Apple positions show continued platform listening.<\/p>\n

Another dated measure points in the same direction without pretending to describe the Nigerian market. The UK Official Charts Company’s Afrobeats chart history shows “B4 B4” at No. 5 for the week dated October 31, after a No. 2 peak. That chart is a UK ranking and cannot be added to Nigerian streams. Its relevance is simply that the song had a visible audience beyond Nigeria at the same late stage of its release cycle.<\/p>\n

Our earlier report on the song’s origin<\/a> described how the collaboration moved into Davido’s album. The current chart picture answers a different question: how long the released recording has remained competitive. It does not tell us what the artists or rights holders earned, what their marketing budget was, or whether a particular campaign drove the latest climb.<\/p>\n

What release teams can test next<\/h2>\n

A sensible next measure is consistency across several dated charts. If “B4 B4” remains high on Spotify and Apple after this brief rise, the team has evidence to keep treating it as an active record. If it falls, the October 31 gain may prove temporary. Comparing TurnTable’s next weekly result will also help show whether wider streaming and radio activity followed the platform movement. None of those future outcomes is established yet.<\/p>\n

The larger business lesson is about timing. A release date starts a campaign, but it does not set an expiry date for audience demand. “B4 B4” has now occupied a Spotify Nigeria chart for 94 days as of October 31, while holding a top-four place in the Apple Nigeria observations on November 2.
