It plans to fund releases at an earlier stage than investors buying catalogs with established royalty histories.<\/p>\n<h2>How the model works<\/h2>\n<p>SRR Capital draws on the discovery and development role of a traditional label. Its artists and repertoire (A&amp;R) process combines creative assessment with investment committee review to identify music it believes could reach more listeners with support.<\/p>\n<p>Its relatively small investments cover an artist advance, label services and a dedicated marketing and promotion budget. Net earnings are split <strong>50\/50<\/strong> with the artist.<\/p>\n<h2>Origins and release plans<\/h2>\n<p>The idea grew out of <strong>Daily Samplings<\/strong>, founder <strong>Delgado\u2019s<\/strong> music discovery platform, where he encountered songs with modest audiences. Delgado founded <strong>Sample Road Records<\/strong> while studying commercial music at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.byu.edu\/\">BYU<\/a> and later earned a master\u2019s degree in Global Entertainment and Music Business at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.berklee.edu\/valencia\">Berklee\u2019s Valencia campus<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His label experience informed the investment approach: smaller outlays reduce the revenue a release needs to recoup its costs and become profitable. Sample Road Records is currently distributed through <strong>AWAL<\/strong> and has an upcoming single.<\/p>\n<h2>Submission terms<\/h2>\n<p>Artists, songwriters, producers and managers can submit music through the application on Sample Road Records\u2019 Work With Us page. The form requests a demo link, artist and contact details, website or social links, genre and a description of what the artist seeks.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must own or control the required rights, or have authorization from the rights holders. SRR considers original music, including works in progress, and contacts applicants when it sees a potential fit. A submission does not guarantee funding or a partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Information about the model is not an offer to sell securities or a solicitation to buy them.
