American regional Mexican band Grupo Frontera<\/strong> have launched their own label, BorderTown Records<\/strong>, in partnership with The Orchard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The label is designed to support the next generation of talent in both M\u00fasica Mexicana and other genres.<\/p>\n Founded in 2022 by Juan Javier Cant\u00fa<\/strong>, Alberto \u201cBeto\u201d Acosta<\/strong> and Adelaido \u201cPayo\u201d Sol\u00eds III<\/strong>, Grupo Frontera are coming off a sustained burst of success, with 16 Number 1s on the Billboard Regional Mexican Airplay chart, and a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 via their 2023 collaboration with Bad Bunny on \u201cUn x100to.\u201d<\/p>\n The label will be based in the band\u2019s hometown of McAllen, Texas.<\/p>\n It will offer services across recording, marketing, public relations and distribution.<\/p>\n Miguel Ramirez<\/strong> has been installed as General Manager.<\/p>\n Grupo Frontera\u2019s Con Dolor<\/em> EP is the label\u2019s first release.<\/p>\n The group have also established a music complex and creative headquarters in McAllen called YUMA<\/strong>, which will serve as BorderTown Records\u2019 operational base.<\/p>\n The company says the label will be open to artists across genres.<\/p>\n Alberto \u201cBeto\u201d Acosta: \u201cEverything we\u2019re building with BorderTown Records and YUMA comes from our own experiences and the journey we\u2019ve had to navigate as a group.
