The company, established in 2015 and based in Los Angeles, provides digital distribution and financial tools for independent artists and labels, in addition to marketing and strategic support.<\/p>\n<p>Stempeck will be based in Los Angeles and will concentrate on growing Stem\u2019s network of independent artists, labels, and strategic partners.<\/p>\n<p>The company stated he will collaborate with the Artist &amp; Label Relations team to \u201cfurther strengthen [Stem\u2019s] position as a leading partner for <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Independent_record_label\">independent artists and labels<\/a> seeking flexible, artist-first infrastructure and long-term strategic support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stempeck brings over 15 years of experience in the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Music_industry\">independent label<\/a>, distribution, and music technology sectors, having previously worked at The Orchard, <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/spotify-adds-stability-ai-researcher-to-ai-development-team\/\">Spotify<\/a>, and TikTok.<\/p>\n<p>For the past three years, he was at SoundOn, TikTok\u2019s distribution and artist services platform, where he signed and developed artists including Ley Soul, Sam Austins, NESYA, JMSN, Dana and Alden, and Mon Rov\u00eca.<\/p>\n<p>During his time at SoundOn, he also broadened the platform\u2019s label and partner relationships through agreements with Broke, Thirty Knots, Tribal Trap, Everything\u2019s Yours Entertainment and Duetti.<\/p>\n<p>The appointment reflects Stem\u2019s ongoing investment in services for artists and labels as the company increases its presence within <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/ghana-music-fashion-feedback-loop-amaarae-sarkodie-2026\/\">independent music communities<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff Stempeck stated: \u201cStem has built one of the most respected <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/industry-updates-legal-ruling-for-live-nation-arrest-in-d4vd-case-and-new-music-releases\/\">independent music companies in the industry<\/a>.
