The investment was led by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Willard_Ahdritz\">Willard Ahdritz<\/a><\/strong>, founder and chairman of <strong>Kobalt Music Group<\/strong>, through his investment vehicle Ahdritz Capital. Ahdritz will join the company&#8217;s board of directors once the transaction is finalized.<\/p>\n<p>The size of the raise was not disclosed. Other participants in the round included <strong>SumoSan Ventures<\/strong>, Indian consulting firm <strong>10X Global<\/strong> and Dubai-based <strong>Marigold Capital<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The capital will be used to expand Madverse&#8217;s AI-powered technology, rights management, distribution and artist services worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2023 by CEO <strong>Rohan Nesho Jain<\/strong>, Madverse set out to reshape the independent music sector in India. The company now claims to represent over 200,000 <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/justin-bishops-integrated-ecosystem-guides-artists-from-development-to-distribution\/\">independent artists<\/a> and labels from more than 45 countries. Beyond distribution, its offerings include marketing, social media management and artist funding. A partnership with Kobalt, signed in January, added sync licensing, publishing administration and <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/umg-sells-curve-royalty-systems-to-merlin-and-jamen-capital\/\">royalty collection<\/a> to its services.<\/p>\n<p>Jain said: &#8220;Madverse was born with one purpose: to build the most powerful, most accessible independent music ecosystem in the world, starting from India. Willard joining this journey is a defining moment for Madverse and a statement to the entire industry. He fundamentally changed what independence in music could mean for an artist.
