The initiative will select a cohort of 10 <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/how-to-nail-a-supporting-act-set-eight-strategies-for-emerging-artists\/\">emerging artists<\/a>, musicians and <a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/new-book-beyond-the-drop-explores-sound-design-in-electronic-music\/\">aspiring sound engineers<\/a> from <strong>Birmingham and the West Midlands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The programme was established to address persistent challenges faced by women and gender-marginalised creatives, including limited access to opportunities, underrepresentation in technical and leadership roles, financial insecurity and a lack of professional support networks. Participants will receive mentoring, training, studio experience, networking opportunities and performance platforms aimed at fostering long-term career development.<\/p>\n<p>She:Music stated that it particularly encourages applications from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Women and gender-marginalised people of colour<\/li>\n<li>Those from low-income backgrounds<\/li>\n<li>Individuals facing systemic barriers to music industry participation<\/li>\n<li>Applicants with a strong commitment to their creative or technical development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The programme is committed to creating safe and inclusive creative spaces, operating under safeguarding and equality policies throughout all activities. It promotes anti-discriminatory practice, accessibility, wellbeing and respectful collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are currently open through the She application
