The song conjures the atmosphere of a Saturday afternoon, the moment after pre-match commentary when the viewer is settled and waiting for kick-off.<\/p>\n<h2>A New Generation of Rap Strikers<\/h2>\n<p>ProKid\u2019s influence is unmistakable in <strong>Touchline<\/strong>, whose stage name itself nods to the football pitch. \u201cI also used to play soccer in my hood. My brother still thinks I would have made it big as a soccer star, but then that\u2019s him. I act too. I sing, I rap and I think I am a pretty good dancer,\u201d Touchline said in an interview.<\/p>\n<p>On \u201cThabo ke Messi,\u201d a track from last year\u2019s <em>Mambisa Golden Boy<\/em> LP, the emcee draws parallels between himself and <a href=\"https:\/\/messi.com\">Lionel Messi<\/a> to illustrate his dominance in the rap game.
