Its founding members include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B\u00e1nfora Records<\/li>\n<li>Llorona Records<\/li>\n<li>Mambo Negro Records<\/li>\n<li>Muchacho Berraco<\/li>\n<li>M\u00fasicas de Colombia<\/li>\n<li>Palenque Records<\/li>\n<li>Polen Records<\/li>\n<li>Sonidos Enraizados<\/li>\n<li>Tambora Records<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional labels that have since joined include 312 Records, 4 Music, Discos Infante, Galletas Calientes Records, In-Correcto, Merl\u00edn Producciones, and M\u00fasica Corriente, signaling a strong appetite for collective representation.<\/p>\n<h2>A Shared Journey Toward Global Representation<\/h2>\n<p>WIN\u2019s secretariat and members have spent years engaging with Colombia\u2019s independent music community, visiting Bogot\u00e1 and Medell\u00edn to offer practical support and expertise as the sector built its own trade body.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cALDISCO joining WIN is the culmination of a shared journey, not just the signing of a membership form,\u201d said WIN CEO Noem\u00ed Planas. \u201cWe are delighted to strengthen our presence in Latin America and provide Colombia with an international platform, and we look forward to working closely with its members to expand the reach of Colombian independents and connect them internationally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark Kitcatt, CEO of Everlasting Records and WIN Chair, added: \u201cIt\u2019s always a beautiful moment when we welcome a new national association of independents to the WIN family. I read the names of labels I know and those I don\u2019t, new, full of promise, redolent of places, scenes and communities. We are all delighted to share the task and the journey of bringing great artists and new ideas to the world, with these movers and cultural agitators.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Mission Beyond Advocacy<\/h2>\n<p>ALDISCO\u2019s remit extends beyond commercial advocacy. The association will promote music as cultural heritage, defend intellectual property rights, and support diverse and inclusive artistic creation. Its activities will focus on innovation, internationalization, data management, audience development, equitable media access, and professional opportunities for Colombia\u2019s independent community.<\/p>\n<p>Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Bastos, ALDISCO President, said: \u201cBy joining WIN, we will be able to consolidate the Colombian independent music scene, gain broader global representation, and thereby improve conditions for our artists and our music ecosystem. This partnership represents a historic opportunity to strengthen the international presence of Colombia\u2019s independent music sector and forge new connections for our members.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Latin American Momentum<\/h2>\n<p>ALDISCO\u2019s membership was confirmed at WIN\u2019s recent WINHUB international networking breakfast, held during BIME Bogot\u00e1. The event drew more than 100 industry professionals from 12 countries across three continents, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela, Spain, and the United States. ALDISCO also participated in a meeting of WIN\u2019s LATAM Network regional working group, which it now joins as a full member.<\/p>\n<p>Cecilia Crespo, General Manager of ASIAr and WIN Vice-Chair, noted: \u201cAt a time when Latin America\u2019s presence in the industry is at its peak, ALDISCO\u2019s arrival to the WIN network is key to strengthening the entire independent music ecosystem. Latin America\u2019s relentless strength is driven both at an artistic level and through its massive capital of passionate music consumers. However, it is necessary to address the problems and challenges facing the region and, together, build bridges that facilitate integration on equal terms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark Meyer, Vice President of AMI-PY and Chair of the LATAM Network, said: \u201cWelcoming ALDISCO to WIN and the LATAM Network fills us with enthusiasm. The fact that one of the world\u2019s most important and culturally relevant record markets now has an association representing the independent sector greatly strengthens WIN\u2019s mission in Latin America and adds a new voice to independent labels worldwide.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Regional Outreach<\/h2>\n<p>During their visit to Colombia, WIN representatives also met with companies from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela. The organization continues to assist local independent record labels in building the associative structures needed to join the global network, a process in which Colombia now serves as an inspiring model.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/interspacemusic.com\/blog\/hermes-joins-impala-as-greeces-independent-music-companies-association\/\">IMPALA<\/a>, the European independent music companies association founded in 2000, represents over 6,000 businesses. Small, micro, and medium enterprises and self-releasing artists account for 99% of Europe\u2019s music companies. These independents produce more than 80% of all new releases and 80% of the sector\u2019s jobs, with a mission to grow the independent music sector sustainably and return more value to
