The Academy of Country Music (ACM) <\/strong>has named Andy Schuon <\/strong>as its new CEO<\/strong>. He will officially take the position on September 1, working out of ACM\u2019s Nashville office.<\/p>\n ACM\u2019s previous CEO, Damon Whiteside<\/strong>, stepped down on June 30 after holding the position since 2020.<\/p>\n The departure was expected as Whiteside announced his plans to leave before this year\u2019s ACM Awards.<\/p>\n Whiteside will serve in a transitional emeritus role until the end of this year.<\/p>\n Schuon has worked at MTV<\/strong>, VH1<\/strong>, Warner<\/strong> Bros.<\/strong> Records<\/strong>, Universal<\/strong> Music<\/strong> Group<\/strong>, Ticketmaster<\/strong>, and CBS<\/strong> Radio<\/strong> throughout his long career.<\/p>\n ZRG Partners and the ACM board led the search for the new CEO.<\/p>\n Cris Lacy, Chair of the ACM Board<\/strong>: \u201cAndy Schuon\u2019s remarkable career reflects a lifelong commitment to innovation, creativity, and serving artists.
