The 12-track set features contributions from <strong>Nia Pearl<\/strong>, <strong>Mashudu<\/strong>, <strong>MDU aka TRP<\/strong>, <strong>Nvcho<\/strong> and <strong>Babalwa M<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In August, <strong>De Mthuda<\/strong> will follow up last year&#8217;s <em>Mthuthuzeli<\/em> with <em>Noise<\/em>, an album he says will signal a new sonic direction. Before that, <strong>Kabza De Small<\/strong>&#8216;s <em>Tutu<\/em> is set to arrive and give listeners a high-energy close to July.<\/p>\n<h2>Notable Recent Tracks<\/h2>\n<p>A new collaboration between <strong>De Mthuda<\/strong> and <strong>Kabza De Small<\/strong> leans into Afro-tech textures, with <strong>Mnqobi Yazo<\/strong>&#8216;s chant cutting through the production. A trumpet line erupts at the 1:27 mark, shifting the track into a more commanding gear.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stixx<\/strong> reimagines <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hughmasekela.co.za\/\">Hugh Masekela<\/a>&#8216;s &#8220;Market Place&#8221; on <em>Market Place 2.0<\/em>. The original appeared on Masekela&#8217;s 1972 album <em>Still Grazing<\/em>. Stixx weaves the Afro-jazz elements, nimble guitar, a lethal trumpet-and-flute combination, into amapiano, anchored by chest-rattling kicks, warm jazz chords, and the log drum.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nobuhle<\/strong> teams up with <strong>Murumba Pitch<\/strong> on <em>Ngibulawa Nguwe<\/em>, produced by <strong>Lenza musiq<\/strong>. The track balances granular electronic blips with organic melodies and elemental percussion, while the bassline carries a weighty message. Nobuhle has said her music draws from the spirit of her grandmother, a healer and ancestor, grounding the song in a sense of lineage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lesego M<\/strong>, only two years into her career, returns with <em>Usile Wena<\/em>, her second single of the year. The song is a firm rejection set to soulful chords and a deep bassline. She sings: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>askies bhuti, ngeke ulunga lakimi\/ uthi ufuna i-phone number, awuhlehle lakimi (sorry brother, you don&#8217;t stand a chance with me\/ you say you want my number, please get away from me).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Daliwonga<\/strong> and <strong>Mas Musiq<\/strong> continue their collaborative streak with <em>Simi Kanje<\/em>, featuring <strong>Focalistic<\/strong>. The track follows their 2025 album <em>Bas&#8217;tholile<\/em>. Daliwonga delivers a verse packed with cultural references, including the line &#8220;Imali eningi njengo <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Big_Zulu\">Big Zulu<\/a>&#8221; ([I need] a lot of
