TikTok LIVE has confirmed the return of Music on Stage, a global program focused on discovering emerging artists and helping them convert livestream audiences into broader music careers.
The initiative spans music creators from more than 20 regions. Auditions opened on 15 August with an All-Day Global Relay Concert, a three-day event featuring artist performances.
Global finals and hosts
The 2026 Global Finals are scheduled for September. Cat Burns, a British singer-songwriter, will host the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Americas competition, while Thai singer-songwriter Songkarn will host the APAC (Asia-Pacific) finals.
Artist development and festival slots
Top creators will receive professional development opportunities in partnership with SoundOn, TikTok’s all-in-one music distribution and artist services platform. This includes the opportunity to record and release original music with full production, distribution and promotional support.
Winners will also have the chance to perform at festivals including TikTok LIVE Fest, Breakaway Carolina Festival, and All Things Go NYC Festival.
Shen Gao, Head of LIVE Operations, Americas, at TikTok, said: “Music on Stage reflects everything that makes TikTok LIVE unique. Every day we see talented artists build genuine communities, develop loyal fanbases and share their music with audiences around the world in real time. This program takes that one step further by giving emerging artists the opportunity not only to be discovered, but to develop sustainable careers beyond the platform. We’re proud to help the next generation of music talent move from livestreams to record releases and festival stages.”
