William Ahdritz, former CEO and Chairman of Kobalt, has launched Ahdritz Capital Partners (ACP), an investment firm focused on media infrastructure, audience platforms, and entertainment and technology ventures.
Isabel Keulen and Stephen Langer have joined the firm as Investment Partners. The size of the fund has not been disclosed.
ACP formalizes Ahdritz’s individual investment activity conducted while he led Kobalt. During that period, he led a funding round for un:hurd, an artist marketing platform.
Ahdritz left Kobalt on July 7, the same day the acquisition of Primary Wave Music was completed. He had served as Chairman and CEO since founding the company in 2000.
Before ACP, Ahdritz established two other investment entities: Ahdritz & Co, an investment advisory firm, and Ahdritz Holding LLC, an investment vehicle.
“Music is global, yet the capital and networks founders need have been concentrated in a few cities. We want to support founders and innovation not only in those markets, but also in other parts of the world too. After investing on my own for the last few years, the moment felt right to put together a great team to invest in and advise promising entrepreneurs.”
