Davido’s Already Falling Enters Apple Music Nigeria Top 20 After Video

Davido’s ‘Already Falling’ reached No. 20 on Apple Music Nigeria in a November 6 update as its official video drew attention on Nigerian video lists. The separate rankings show a second campaign window, while causation remains unproven.

Davido’s “Already Falling” is gaining a second window of attention in Nigeria: Apple’s Most Played chart placed the July release at No. 20 in its November 6 update, while a November 4 list of popular music videos put its official video at No. 2. The video arrived on October 28, nearly three months after the track’s release.

For labels and managers, the useful signal is that a visual can give an existing recording a fresh point of discovery. The available rankings show renewed visibility across audio and video. They do not establish that the video caused the Apple Music move, or reveal how much the campaign cost.

What the Nigeria lists show

Apple’s own Nigeria Most Played feed, updated at 16:02 UTC on November 6, lists “Already Falling” at No. 20. Kworb’s Apple Music Nigeria display also showed the song at No. 20 earlier that day, with a nine-place rise in its displayed comparison. Chartex’s November 6 Apple chart separately shows No. 20, compared with No. 23 in its previous-day field. Those movement figures come from different snapshots and should not be merged into a single daily gain. The common, independently checked finding is the current top-20 position on Apple’s service.

Video gives a second view of attention. Content Rewardz’s Nigeria list, dated November 4 and described by the site as a reading of YouTube’s music-video order, placed “Already Falling” second behind Peruzzi, Zlatan and Shoday’s “INFERNO.” Kworb’s broader Nigeria YouTube trending list, updated November 5 at 21:40 EST, put the Davido video at No. 4 among music and non-music uploads. These lists cover different sets of videos, so the two ranks are not a fall from second to fourth on one chart.

The video itself is live on Davido’s official YouTube channel. Its presence on a trending list shows that a particular upload is being surfaced to viewers. It is not a verified count of Nigerian plays for the audio recording. Apple’s list likewise gives a rank but no public Nigerian stream total. Adding the two positions would produce no meaningful audience measure.

A later visual for an existing song

Chartex’s Apple Music Nigeria listing dates the recording to July 31, 2026 and prints a rights line for Davido Music Worldwide under an exclusive licence to Sony Music Entertainment UK. The chart’s metadata describes the released recording; it does not disclose the duration or economics of the licence. Reporting on the official video dates its premiere to October 28, leaving about three months between the song’s release and this new visual. The official YouTube upload confirms that the campaign now has a distinct video asset.

The timing matters because an album track need not have its whole public life in release week. A later video gives a team another item to promote, another link for fans to share and another format in which a listener may encounter the song. Whether any of those actions converted into Apple Music listening is a separate question. The public charts do not identify a viewer’s route from one platform to another.

There was also evidence of interest before the video. The UK Official Charts Company’s Afrobeats chart history records “Already Falling” at a No. 9 peak in August and September 2026. That UK ranking cannot be treated as Nigerian demand, but it prevents a misleading claim that the October video created the song’s audience from scratch. It shows that the recording had charted in another market earlier in its life.

The business test after the video

A release team can now ask a narrower question: does the November 6 Apple Music Nigeria top-20 position persist over several daily updates, and does the next TurnTable Official Nigeria Top 100 show wider consumption or airplay? The current TurnTable page still covers October 23-29, a window that includes only the beginning of the video’s run. It cannot yet measure the full week after the visual appeared.

Davido also has another enduring recording in the same market. Our earlier chart report on “B4 B4” described its sustained Spotify and Apple positions after a July release. “Already Falling” presents a different campaign question: can a later video help a song hold attention beyond its first months? Today’s charts establish a renewed opening for the track, while the next dated readings will show whether that opening lasts.
