More than 100 creators gathered in Taipei for the 2026 MÜST International Songwriting Camp, which wrapped up September 11. Hosted by MÜST, Taiwan’s largest collective management organization, the week-long event produced 55 original tracks.

A bigger room for more writers

To widen participation, MÜST introduced a two-tier model. “Regular Members” attended the full week, while “Daily Members” joined for single-day sessions. Despite limited space, the approach lifted attendance by 40% to a record 107 creators.

Participants wrote together, worked late to finish masters and shared meals. Camp Director Eriky LEE moderated pop-up “Music Salons,” interactive sessions that offered industry insights and prompted discussion among attendees.

Production and partners

MÜST again partnered with Lights Up Studio and 14 professional audio equipment distributors. Working to tight deadlines, Lights Up Studio completed the final mastering for all 55 tracks ahead of the closing listening presentation.

The camp was funded by the Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development (BAMID) under Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture, with guidance from the Intellectual Property Office (TIPO). The French Office in Taipei and France’s Centre National de la Musique helped promote the camp to French creators, and natural fragrance brand Inzense sponsored the event.

MÜST says it is committed to a sustainable industry ecosystem in which creative works earn fair income within a sound legal structure. The resulting catalog of 55 tracks is now available, and record labels, publishers and industry partners can contact MÜST to request demos and explore commercial release opportunities.
