Stockholm-based investment firm Pophouse Entertainment has acquired a 50% stake in the publishing and master recording rights of Australian singer-songwriter Sia in a deal valued at $180 million. Unlike some of Pophouse’s other recent acquisitions, this one does not include her name, image and likeness (NIL) rights.

Sia: “I’m really excited to be working with Pophouse. These songs mean so much to me, and I love that they really understand that and want to take care of them. I’ve been making music for a very long time now, and it feels exciting to think about all the new and different ways these songs might get to live on and find people. I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can dream up together.”

What the divorce filings show

Legal filings from Sia’s recent divorce put numbers on the split. She will receive $165 million for songs written before the marriage, while her ex-husband, Dan Bernad, waived all rights to that portion in exchange for $1 million under the post-nuptial terms. The remaining $15 million, representing music created during the marriage of under three years, is held in escrow pending a final settlement between the two.

The catalog

The catalog carries multi-billion streaming totals on Spotify, led by “Titanium,” her collaboration with David Guetta. Other hits include “Unstoppable,” “Chandelier,” “Cheap Thrills” and “Dusk Till Dawn.”

Pophouse’s track record

Co-founded by ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus, Pophouse has experience building digital artist experiences and was a founding investor in the 2022 ABBA Voyage virtual residency in London. Its debut fund closed in March 2025 at a €1 billion hard cap and reached more than €1.2 billion with additional co-investment vehicles.

The Sia deal is Pophouse’s third major catalog investment of 2026, after buying publishing, master and NIL rights for both Iron Maiden and Tina Turner. In 2024 the company also acquired rights to KISS to develop a Las Vegas avatar show. Executives Jessica Koravos and Shahriar Shokofan said the partnership aims to develop new creative ventures and bring the catalog to new global audiences. Given Pophouse’s history, a digital avatar concert concept is among the possibilities.
