Pophouse Entertainment has purchased a 50% stake in Sia’s publishing and master recording rights. The reported price of approximately $180 million puts the catalog’s implied value at roughly $360 million.

Based in Sweden, Pophouse was co-founded by Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA. Its agreement with Sia also provides for collaboration on future creative projects and continued management and development of her existing work.

The catalog includes:

  • “Chandelier”
  • “Cheap Thrills”
  • “Unstoppable”
  • “Elastic Heart”

The reported financial terms emerged in legal documents connected to Sia’s divorce from Daniel Bernad. The proceeds are divided as follows:

  • Approximately $165 million relates to songs written before the marriage.
  • A further $15 million relates to works created during the marriage and remains in escrow until the divorce proceedings are finally resolved.

Sia said in a statement:

“I’m really excited to be working with Pophouse. These songs mean so much to me, and I love that they really understand that and want to take care of them.”

Pophouse also holds interests in music catalogs and entertainment properties associated with Tina Turner, Cyndi Lauper, Avicii, Swedish House Mafia and Iron Maiden.
