Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) has added speakers from Universal Music Group, Spotify, SoundCloud and the European Commission to its 2027 conference. The event runs January 13-16 in Groningen alongside the Eurosonic and Noorderslag showcase festivals.
Newly announced participants include Universal Music Group’s Robbert Baruch, Spotify’s Ben Patashnik, SoundCloud’s Ree Seewell, European Commissioner Glenn Micallef and music-tech executive Scott Cohen.
Baruch will join KLAY co-founder Thomas Hesse for a session examining a new model for artists related to AI (artificial intelligence). Mandy Salem-Aubry of MSA Music Services will moderate. Panels curated by Turo Pekari of MusicTech Europe will address trust issues involving AI-generated music, synthetic artists, voice cloning and streaming fraud, as well as potential areas of future investment in music technology and catalogues.

Other sessions will cover fan-data analytics and artist discovery, with speakers from Cultive, Get Moments, toniq, Sonorous Global and Gotobeat.
