Beyond Music has opened submissions for its fifth collaborative album, inviting U.S. musicians to submit original compositions featuring trumpet by November 23. Grammy-nominated trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf will serve as guest artist and curator.
Each submission must involve at least four artists from at least two different cultural backgrounds. Participation is free and open to singers, songwriters, composers, producers and instrumentalists across genres.
Twelve collaborations will be selected for the album. The grand prize team will travel to Miami in March 2027 to re-record its song with Maalouf as the lead single, film a music video and perform at a Montreux Jazz Festival Miami Jam Session. Beyond Music will cover the related costs.
The other 11 winning teams will each receive up to $6,000 to share among their artists, plus professional mixing and mastering for their tracks.
Established by the Swiss Beyond Foundation with support from Tina Turner, Beyond Music says its community spans 171 countries. The organization reports 642 international collaborations and more than $1.9 million awarded to artists to date. Previous volumes have featured collaborations with Angélique Kidjo, Pheelz and Wiyaala.
