Create Music Group has appointed Hayley Silvertown chief legal and business affairs officer after more than three years as its outside counsel. She will oversee the Los Angeles-based company’s legal and business affairs functions and work with its executive team on strategic transactions, investments and partnerships.

Silvertown has more than a decade of legal and transactional experience focused on music. She joins from Paul Hastings, where she was Of Counsel. Her previous roles include positions at Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, as well as business affairs work at ICM and Warner Chappell Music.

As outside counsel, Silvertown advised Create on key acquisitions and its first institutional equity raise. The US$165 million round, led by private equity firm Flexpoint Ford, valued the distribution, rights management, publishing and data analytics company at US$1 billion in 2024.
