Gospel-Amapiano collective Omega Circle has released the official music video for “Ungasabi,” a single from their EP Spirit Lift Me, arriving on the heels of the viral TikTok success of their previous track “Ngembathe.”
The earlier single generated more than 3,000 user-generated videos on the platform, as fans incorporated the song into daily life content. “Ungasabi,” which translates to “don’t be afraid,” now aims to extend that reach with a visual narrative that moves from despair to renewal.
The nearly five-minute video is split into two distinct emotional sections. The first three minutes portray raw hardships: job loss, grief, unemployment, depression, illness, hunger, and financial ruin. Throughout, the chorus repeats, “Ungasabi, ungalahli ithemba, don’t be afraid, He is the Redeemer, ungasabi He will never forsake you.”
The final one minute and 48 seconds shifts to scenes of recovery, including therapy, prayer, graduations, first home and car purchases, reconciliations, new relationships, pregnancies, and growing families. The visual arc underscores the song’s message of faith and resilience leading from low points to restoration.
“We are really excited to showcase this music video for Ungasabi. The video shows a lot of life vulnerabilities, people going through difficult times and finally things starting to look up and get better, which speaks to God being the Redeemer,” a member of the collective said. “We really believe this music video will resonate with so many people who have had to lean on their faith in extremely difficult and taxing times.”
The group also confirmed that “Ungasabi” will be expanded into a five-part social media series, with each installment built around a different theme, all rooted in the message: “Be kind, everyone is fighting a silent battle.”
