South African singer-songwriter and producer Espacio Dios has released a new single, “Human,” the first track from his forthcoming album DIOS, scheduled for 30 October.

Espacio Dios has stated that the project was built with a long-term perspective, aiming to create music that remains relevant beyond current trends.
Creative Process
“Human” originated from a collaboration with United States-based producer Anoop. Before working on the song, the two built a personal friendship, which Espacio Dios says created a foundation of trust for honest artistic expression.
Anoop provided a stripped-back guitar loop, which Espacio Dios then lived with for an extended period, allowing the melody to guide the emotional direction. He later spent a full day in solitude, disconnected from work and digital communication, walking and observing his surroundings. The lyrics were written that same evening.
This deliberate, unhurried approach reflects his belief that meaningful music cannot be forced by deadlines alone.
Artistic Approach
Espacio Dios avoids strict genre categorization, viewing genres as marketing tools rather than creative constraints. His work incorporates elements of hip-hop, indie, soul, and alternative music, with each project shaped by the emotion at its core.
This philosophy has defined his career, encouraging listeners to approach his music without preconceived expectations about style or format.
