Jason Isbell, David Lowery, and a coalition of independent musicians have filed a federal class-action lawsuit against AI music platform Suno. The suit targets state-level right-of-publicity violations rather than copyright infringement, alleging Suno captures and converts artist ‘voiceprints’ into retrieval keys for synthetic vocal cloning.
