Nigeria Dominates Africa’s Most-Streamed R&B Songs on Spotify in 2025

Nigerian artists occupied four of the top five positions on Spotify’s 2025 ranking of Africa’s most-streamed R&B tracks.

Nigerian artists claimed four of the top five spots on Spotify’s 2025 ranking of the most-streamed R&B songs across Africa, with only one non-Nigerian act breaking into the list.

The most-streamed track was “VENUS” by Faceless and SERØTONIN. Rema’s “Baby (Is It a Crime),” released in February 2025, followed at number two.

The remaining top five songs were:

  • “Arike” by Kunmie (third)
  • “Lost” by Fola and Kizz Daniel (fourth)
  • “Gimme Dat” by Ayra Starr and Wizkid (fifth)
