Skepta and Asake’s Aloe Vera Debuts at No. 3 on Spotify Nigeria

Skepta and Asake’s ‘Aloe Vera’ debuted at No. 3 on Spotify Nigeria’s November 6 daily chart with 219,278 streams. The Big Smoke and Epic release shows a strong Nigerian opening for a UK-led album track.

Skepta and Asake’s “Aloe Vera” entered Spotify’s Nigeria daily songs chart at No. 3 for November 6, 2026, with 219,278 streams on its first chart day. Kworb’s dated chart transcription gives the exact count, and Chartex’s separate display of the same Spotify chart confirms the No. 3 debut and rounds the total to 219.3K.

The opening shows how a British rapper’s album track can become a major Nigerian release when it carries a prominent local collaboration. It is a useful demand signal for the labels behind the recording, although one day of streams cannot establish the song’s eventual chart run or the value of its rights.

An album track with a Nigerian opening

“Aloe Vera” appears on Skepta’s The Fork and Knife, released November 6. Apple’s album listing names Asake on the track and gives the album’s release date; Pulse Nigeria also included the collaboration in its November 6 new-music coverage. Chartex credits Skepta, Asake, Lex Luger and Vanco on its Spotify Nigeria entry. Those are the listed recording credits on that chart display, not a claim about each person’s contractual role or royalty share.

Spotify’s Nigeria chart for November 6 put Peruzzi, Zlatan and Shoday’s “INFERNO” first and Seyi Vibez’s “BACK 2 U” second. “Aloe Vera” followed them at No. 3, ahead of BNXN’s “If You Like”. Both Kworb and Chartex show that order for the dated chart. The 219,278 figure counts Spotify streams in Nigeria on that day. It does not count other platforms, radio play or listeners outside the country.

The credit line matters

Apple’s November 6 album listing says The Fork and Knife was released by Big Smoke Records under exclusive licence to Epic Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment UK. Chartex gives the same Big Smoke and Epic credit beside “Aloe Vera” on its Spotify chart. That public line identifies the release arrangement shown to consumers; it does not disclose the licence term, an advance, ownership of the master or any split due to the featured artist.

For the Nigerian trade, the immediate result is specific: an Asake feature on a UK-led album produced a top-three opening on Spotify Nigeria. Our earlier look at Asake’s feature work considered why labels book him, but this chart provides a new, dated outcome for a different release and label pairing. A feature credit and a strong debut can be observed publicly; the commercial terms behind them cannot.

The next dated Spotify chart will show whether “Aloe Vera” holds its place after release day. TurnTable’s next Official Nigeria Top 100 will provide a separate, broader measure once its reporting period includes the track. Until then, the defensible finding is an opening-day Spotify Nigeria No. 3 for a cross-border collaboration released through Big Smoke and Epic.
