Symphonic, a music technology and services company, has partnered with ArtyShield, an AI trust infrastructure platform, to help artists and rightsholders guard against unauthorized AI training on their music and voices.

The collaboration centers on ArtyShield’s MusicShield technology, which protects audio before it is released. Rather than detecting misuse after the fact, MusicShield subtly alters machine-perceptible acoustic features in a way that is inaudible to human listeners but makes the audio difficult for AI models to interpret or learn from.

Symphonic clients can now access ArtyShield tools directly within the Client Offerings section of SymphonicMS, the company’s management platform. The integration includes MusicShield as well as additional AI trust tools: VeriTube, VoiceShield, and VeriVoice.

Access begins with a free tier, with paid tiers available for users seeking expanded protection and advanced capabilities.

“The conversation around AI shouldn’t begin after someone’s work has already been copied or misused,” said Jorge Brea, CEO of Symphonic. “MusicShield is exciting because it gives creators a practical way to protect their music before that happens. We believe AI can create tremendous opportunities for our industry, but those opportunities have to be built on consent, transparency, and respect for the people creating the music in the first place.”

“MusicShield was built around a simple idea: artists deserve meaningful protection before their work becomes part of AI systems,” said Jian Liu, Founder and CEO of ArtyShield. “Working with Symphonic allows us to bring that protection directly into the release workflow, making it easier for creators to safeguard their music while also giving them tools to verify authenticity and protect their voices.”
