Warner Music Group Q3 Revenue Up 10.4% on Streaming Gains

Warner Music Group posted double-digit revenue growth and higher profits in its fiscal third quarter, fueled by streaming gains and improved digital service provider terms.

Warner Music Group (WMG) recorded a 10.4% year-over-year revenue increase in its fiscal third quarter, as subscription streaming growth, market share gains, and improved digital service provider (DSP) deal terms lifted both the top and bottom lines.

Overall Performance

  • Total revenue rose 10.4% (9.3% in constant currency), with streaming revenue up 12.3%.
  • Adjusted OIBDA reached $433 million, a 16.1% increase (14.6% constant currency), and the margin expanded to 23.2%.
  • Operating income jumped 80.5% to $305 million, reflecting stronger operations, a favorable revenue mix, and a $62 million reduction in restructuring and impairment charges compared to the prior-year quarter.

Recorded Music

Recorded music revenue grew 9.9% (8.9% constant currency), supported by gains in digital, artist services and expanded rights, and physical formats. Streaming revenue within the segment increased 11.8% (10.1% constant currency), driven by subscriber growth, market share improvements, and enhanced DSP deal economics.

Adjusted OIBDA for recorded music rose 17.4% (15.6% constant currency) to $377 million.

Music Publishing

Music publishing revenue advanced 12.2% (10.9% constant currency), led by digital, synchronization, mechanical, and performance income. Adjusted OIBDA increased 13.5% to $109 million, aided by higher revenue and sustained operational strength.
