Peter Okoye, the Nigerian artist known as Mr P, has officially changed his birthday to November 30, abandoning the November 18 date he previously shared with his twin brother and former P-Square bandmate Paul Okoye.
The singer asked fans not to send birthday wishes or gifts on the original date, describing the decision as a personal one. The announcement arrives during a prolonged family dispute involving Peter, Paul, and their elder brother Jude Okoye, who managed the duo at the height of their success.
After a brief reunion in 2021, the brothers’ relationship again deteriorated over allegations tied to management, finances, and trust. Peter has publicly stated that he severed ties with his brothers in 2025, and the conflict has since attracted legal scrutiny and a series of public exchanges.
While Peter did not directly connect the birthday change to the rift, many fans have interpreted the move as a symbolic break from the shared date that once united the twins.
