UK drum & bass producer Bou brought a British Airways flight attendant on stage during his Las Vegas performance last Thursday (6th August), after sampling her voice from an in-flight confrontation.

The incident occurred on a flight from London Heathrow to Las Vegas, when a disturbance broke out between two passengers before take-off. Flight attendant Sophie Turner intervened, telling one passenger: “If I have to tell you again, I will be restraining you, sir, if you do not stay seated!”

The disruptive passenger was removed from the aircraft, and the flight continued. During the journey, Bou sampled Turner’s repeated requests to “stay seated” and produced a track. He documented the altercation and the production process on Instagram.

Turner, who followed Bou on the platform and was already a fan, messaged him after seeing the posts. The two posed for a selfie on the flight, and Bou later invited her to perform the vocal part live at his show.

In a clip shared online, Bou said: “Fair play to the air hostess here, because she absolutely held it down,” adding that Turner deserved a raise.

A British Airways spokesperson stated that disruptive behaviour is never tolerated on board and commended the crew for maintaining safety throughout the event.

Last year, Bou released a 31-track ‘B-Sides Mixtape’, featuring Riko Dan, Disrupta, Toxinate, Jack Banner and others.
