More than 400 KATSEYE fans, known as EYEKONS, gathered at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere on Tuesday for an immersive listening event ahead of the group’s new EP, WILD.
The venue was transformed into KLUB KATSEYE, a one-night takeover presented by Spotify, featuring interactive experiences and a live performance.
The group performed new tracks PINKY UP, Animal, and the live debut of That Way, along with fan favorites Gnarly and Gabriela, which prompted a full-room singalong.
Ahead of the show, KATSEYE shared the music that shaped the EP. They cited Feel It Still by Portugal. The Man, Never Be the Same by Camila Cabello, and Don’t Cha by The Pussycat Dolls as key influences. The group also revealed that Britney Spears’ I’m a Slave 4 U heavily inspired the choreography and visual direction for their upcoming Hootie Frutti music video.
When asked which song best captures their next chapter, the members pointed to That Way, describing it as a reflection of their artistic evolution.
Live performance videos from KLUB KATSEYE will be available on Spotify later this month. The EP WILD is set for release on August 14.
