A survey of 1,792 creative professionals found that only 6.7% consider fully AI-generated content acceptable, while nearly 60% are willing to integrate AI tools into their creative workflows. The findings come from the Uppbeat Creator Report 2026, released by the creative asset platform Uppbeat.
The study, based on survey data and 13 in-depth interviews conducted between February and March 2026, examines how musicians, YouTubers, and other creators are adapting to artificial intelligence. It identifies where they draw the line between using AI as a collaborator and ceding creative control.
One notable demographic finding: respondents aged 16 to 24 were the least likely group to use AI tools, challenging assumptions that younger creators are the most eager adopters of new technology.
Researchers also analyzed more than 2,600 open-text responses, which surfaced several recurring themes about AI’s role in music and content production.
The report indicates that personal storytelling remains a key competitive advantage as synthetic content becomes more widespread.
