Ayra Starr’s latest project “Starrgirl” drew 1.82 million streams in its first full day on Spotify Nigeria, setting a new opening-day record for a female artist on the platform.
The total surpasses her previous album “The Year I Turned 21,” which opened with 1.27 million streams. Starr now holds the top two spots for the biggest opening-day streams by a female artist on Spotify Nigeria.
“Starrgirl” has also crossed 200 million streams on Spotify overall, becoming her third project to reach that mark. All of her albums have now surpassed 200 million streams on the platform.
