Music executives Matt Geffen, Ben Schecter, Charlie Perl, and Tim Jordan have launched Forge Music Group, a new company spanning management, records, publishing, and film. The company comprises three divisions: Forge Management, Forge Records, and Forge Publishing.
Divisions and initial roster
Forge Management represents artists, songwriters, and studio personnel.
- Forge Management artist roster: Yuki Chiba (with Warner Music Japan), Nat & Alex Wolff, and CARLA, a writer on Tame Impala and JENNIE’s “Dracula”.
- Producer and songwriter clients: Joe Reeves (Stella Lefty’s “Boston,” Morgan Wallen’s “What I Want”), JULiA LEWiS (Bad Bunny’s “DTMF”), GRAMMY-winning mix engineer Teezio, and GRAMMY-winning producers Southside and Wheezy (Drake’s “Ran to Atlanta”).
- Forge Records initial releases: bixby and Carol Ades.
- Forge Publishing inaugural signings: Ebubé, Avery Lynch, and Peter Lee Johnson.
Film supervision and background
In partnership with Heavy Duty Projects, Forge is providing music supervision for Fleur, an upcoming feature film from director Ellie Foumbi that stars Halle Berry.
Before launching Forge, Matt Geffen, Ben Schecter, and Charlie Perl helped build independent music company Coup D’État, whose catalog has generated more than 10 billion streams globally. Geffen has also advised The Recording Academy, YEEZY, EarthPercent, and APG.
