Newly announced tours from Radiohead, Miley, Angèle, Jack Blocker, and Kany García highlight shifts in routing, ticketing, and venue strategy. The plans range from a 21-date arena residency model to a 76-date global itinerary.

Radiohead tests condensed routing and fixed pricing

Radiohead’s entire 2027 live calendar consists of 21 arena shows in four markets: four nights in Perth, six each in Melbourne and Sydney, and five in Saitama, Japan. The band has said no additional 2027 dates will be announced.

The ticketing plan includes:

  • Mandatory registration
  • A four-ticket limit
  • Fixed prices without dynamic pricing
  • Face-value resale only

The routing follows a residency model with fewer cities, longer stays, less transportation, and scarcity designed to draw traveling fans.

Miley and Angèle use scarcity and market-specific venues

Miley, who is dropping ‘Cyrus’ professionally, announced two Hollywood Bowl concerts on October 16 and 18 around her new album, Bass Persuades. These are rare major headline appearances for an artist who has not mounted a conventional headlining tour since 2015. The two-night stand concentrates attention in a major media market and creates scarcity tied to the album release and name change.

Angèle, a Belgian pop artist, announced a 23-date international tour across Europe and North America. She will play three nights at Paris’ Accor Arena, two nights at Brussels’ ING Arena, and two at Montreal’s Bell Centre. In New York and Los Angeles, she is booked at the smaller Brooklyn Paramount and The Wiltern. The venue choices reflect different audience sizes between Francophone and other markets, positioning her as an arena act in French-speaking regions while developing audiences elsewhere.

Jack Blocker and Kany García expand through mixed formats

Jack Blocker’s expanded Big Jefe Tour mixes festival appearances, opening slots, and headline dates. He will appear at AMERICANAFEST and the Whitefish Songwriter Festival, support Briscoe and Molly Tuttle, and headline venues from Texas dance halls to The Bitter End and the Middle East Upstairs. The bookings serve different functions, including industry exposure, audience acquisition, regional credibility, and proof of headlining ability.

Kany García, a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter, begins the North American leg of her Puerta Abierta Tour this week as part of a 76-date global itinerary, her largest tour to date. She is expanding the performance by playing more instruments and incorporating regional Mexican musicians while keeping personal storytelling central. The tour tests whether larger production and bigger rooms can coexist with intimacy, with the expanded format intended to reveal more of the musical world around the songs.

The industry question

Among these announcements, Radiohead’s plan raises a central question about whether major tours can travel less by asking audiences to travel more. The 2027 routing combines concentrated residency dates, scarcity, reduced travel, fixed ticket prices, anti-bot registration, and face-value resale. It remains to be seen whether a tour can reach fewer places without feeling smaller, or whether fans will resist being expected to travel.
