Notes.fm has introduced Notes Financial Accounts, a payment feature built with Stripe, and Releases, a distribution and publishing administration product.

The additions expand the company’s focus from identifying unclaimed royalties to managing payments and releases in one system.

How the new products work

  • Financial Accounts uses Stripe Connect to pay collected royalties directly into artist accounts.
  • Stripe Treasury for Platforms connects Notes to the accounts where earnings are held, allowing splits among band members or withdrawals to external bank accounts.
  • Releases lets artists distribute music to Spotify and more than 50 other platforms while combining publishing administration in a single delivery.

The company describes the approach as Release Once, Collect Everywhere.

Tim Luckow, CEO and Co-Founder of Notes.fm, said:

Artists should be able to release music, know it is credited correctly and collect every dollar their music earns without navigating a different system for every step. Notes started by helping musicians find unclaimed royalties that were already theirs. With Releases and now our work with Stripe, we are building the full path forward for musicians to release once, collect everywhere. Simply one place to manage your music, royalties and finances.
