Qobuz has launched in Poland, bringing the Paris-headquartered streaming and download platform to 27 countries. The service went live on October 23.
Why Poland
Poland is the world’s 16th largest recorded music market, according to IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) figures. Paid subscriptions there rose 20.5% year-on-year.
Qobuz says Poland has a strong hi-fi culture. Warsaw recently hosted the Audio Video Show, which the company describes as Europe’s second-largest hi-fi event, and which fits Qobuz’s focus on high-quality sound.
Growth and finances
International expansion is a core pillar of Qobuz’s growth strategy. International markets now account for more than 80% of its revenue.
- Growth of 45.7% reported for 2025
- EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) break-even achieved
- Zero financial debt
- Positive net income expected in March 2027
Georges Fornay, Deputy General Manager of Qobuz, said:
“Every new country launch follows a clear logic: growing markets where paid streaming is on the rise and where listeners value audio quality. Poland meets all these criteria and represents a new milestone in our international expansion, as Qobuz approaches profitability.”
