Artist House Music and Studio Hub Launches in New York
Artist House, a new music and studio hub for songwriters, producers, musicians and content creators, has opened in Hudson Square in New York City.
The venture was co-founded and founder-funded by Gregg Wattenberg, a GRAMMY-winning songwriter and producer, and Steve Lerner, a 30-year music industry veteran and former CEO and Co-Founder of Wind-up Entertainment.
Artist House is designed to combine industry expertise, personalized attention and customized planning for artists through a full suite of creative and business services.
The complex includes four divisions:
Artist House Studios, a 20,000 square foot recording studio facility and collaborative space featuring 10 studios across two floors.
Artist House Records, an independent record label offering A&R development, producer and songwriting session sourcing, and marketing services including DSP strategy, social media, and audience growth strategy.
Artist House Publishing, a boutique publishing company offering rights management, administration, song pitching, sync licensing, and A&R support for writing sessions.
AH Management Collective, co-led by Adina Friedman and Ian LaPlace, currently represents Lindsey Stirling, Princess Nokia, Rio Romeo and Izzy Escobar.
Songwriters working with Artist House Records will have access to the Songwriters Fund, through which the company dedicates up to 10% of the master recording points to songwriters, increasing their potential earnings.
Gregg Wattenberg stated: “We are reimagining the concept of artist development, bringing a more personalized and tailored approach to the art of making music, providing the space and expertise to pair songwriters and producers with artists for true development. With Artist House, we are also nurturing a music movement to bring the soul and ambition of music back to New York City. We’re not just reviving the city’s scene – we’re building its future.”
Steve Lerner stated: “We believe artists deserve a holistic, artist-first ecosystem that not only supports their creativity, but also protects their vision and empowers their careers from every angle. At Artist House, we provide the infrastructure and expertise that allow musicians to focus on what matters most: making great music and connecting with their audience.”
