Qobuz Surpasses 1 Million Active Monthly Users
Qobuz, a France-based music streaming service, has reached 1.2 million active monthly users. The service was identified as one of the fastest-growing online companies in 2025.
The number of paid subscribers has also increased significantly.
This growth indicates a shift in the music streaming landscape, challenging the dominance previously held by other platforms.
Tools facilitating playlist transfers between services are available, enabling users to more easily change platforms.
Dan Mackta, Qobuz Managing Director of North America and Northern Europe, stated that some users are moving to Qobuz due to concerns about price increases and royalty rates on other services.
Chelsea Handler and Christina Hendricks have publicly announced their switch to Qobuz.
An independent audit verified that Qobuz’s royalty payouts are five times higher than the current market average.
Qobuz has expanded its presence through integrations with retail platforms, including Rough Trade.
The company has also reaffirmed its dedication to human-curated playlists and the promotion of human artists in editorial selections, particularly in the context of developing artificial intelligence technologies.
