Spotify is taking a bold new step to empower underrepresented voices in the Brazilian creative space with the official launch of Amplifika Creators—an expansion of its existing Amplifika program, now designed specifically to uplift the next generation of Black podcasters in Brazil.
Originally launched in 2021, Amplifika was created as a platform to foster the growth of Black artists in Brazil through music-focused initiatives like Spotify Singles, curated hubs, educational events, and unique collaborations. The program has already elevated talents like Duquesa, Mc Kadu, Milthinho, Cryzin, Maru2D, and Sued Nunes—artists who are shaping the soundscape of modern Brazil.
Now, with Amplifika Creators, Spotify is expanding that same spirit of empowerment to the world of podcasting.
A Studio, A Mission, A Movement
At the heart of this initiative lies a brand-new podcast studio in São Paulo’s Embaixada Preta. Built in partnership with Feira Preta—a pioneering organization supporting Black culture and entrepreneurship in Latin America—the studio provides free access to professional-grade recording equipment. Support from audio brand Shure, which donated high-quality microphones and headphones, ensures that aspiring podcasters have access to industry-standard tools.
But Amplifika Creators isn’t just about providing space and gear, it’s about building a complete ecosystem of mentorship, visibility, and growth.
More Than Just a Mic
Spotify has embedded mentorship and education directly into the core of the initiative. Renowned creators like Sofi Oliveira (Colo de amiga por @sofidisse) and Guto Barbosa (Don Podcast) are mentoring emerging voices, offering real-time insights, guidance, and inspiration.
The initiative also features:
- A tailored newsletter filled with best practices for podcast production and audience growth.
- Ongoing strategic support to help creators navigate the ever-evolving podcast landscape.
- A dedicated effort to cultivate an inclusive creator economy that truly reflects Brazil’s diverse cultural identity.
The Bigger Picture
Amplifika Creators isn’t just a program. it’s a statement. It reflects Spotify’s belief that every voice matters, and that systemic support is necessary to level the playing field for marginalized creators. By providing tools, mentorship, and visibility, Spotify is helping to ensure that Black Brazilian podcasters don’t just get heard—but thrive.
As audio storytelling continues to grow across the globe, initiatives like Amplifika Creators could become a blueprint for empowering creators in other underrepresented communities around the world.
At InterSpace Distribution, we celebrate moves like this that go beyond tech—bringing meaningful impact to culture, community, and creativity. Because when diverse voices rise, the world listens differently.
